Via Cordata for a day

A new experience, unique in Tarentaise

 

You already know the via ferrata like the back of your hand, with all their little surprises, and you’d like to try something new: the via cordata experience is for you. In Sainte Foy Tarentaise, the guides have decided to offer you something different: you will discover climbing naturally, without handholds or rungs to pull you up and in particular without being attached to a cable. You will learn how to climb and how to make progress roped up with your fellow climbers as a roped party...like in the high mountains but without the difficulty!!! And if a part of the progression is too difficult, some artificial handholds are there to help you. Optional sections will provide surprises to the bravest amongst you. Finally, everybody can enjoy a wonderful atmosphere above the authentic little Crot valley and you may be lucky enough to encounter some curious chamois. A whole universe of sensations to be discovered with Tarentaise Tours.

This programme’s must:

introduction to abseiling in complete simplicity, just for the pleasure of trying it

Program

- 9:00 a.m.: Meet up at the via cordata car-park to get to know your guide and to get your equipment
- 9:30 a.m.: You are at the starting point for the Via Cordata, the roped party is ready, your guide gives you the last recommendations and technical advice and off you go for 2hrs30 of adventure
- noon: the sun is shining brightly and you have reached the end of the course, at the peak of the cliff...just a few minutes of walking to get over your emotions, and continue to dream before going back to the car-park...and reality!
